July 3 Update

A message from Lou:

You were all heroic last Saturday. We rose above absurd challenges and made good music. Bravo!

Having said that, let me add that we will never do another outdoor mid-day summer sun and heat performance. In the future, that is best left to those who do such things. However, the appreciation and recognition for our performance will bring us worthy opportunities, already taking shape. Your heroism bears fruit.

Now I am looking forward to our last performance time together for this season, on this Friday evening, 7/5. We are playing in the shade between 6:30-8:30 pm to an appreciative audience that comes each year to feast on the Americana we serve. Our picnic buffet will be available to us at 5:30 under the Gazebo. Check the web site for travel details: www.mercerband.org/band

We've shared very special time together each Monday for the past ten months. We need that same spirit present at our Cranbury Fireworks Celebration performance on Friday. If you can be there, you must. We must.

Lou

A message from Pam:

Thank you all so much for all of your cooperation. We appreciate everyone's continued focus over the past few weeks preparing for our final two performances. Everyone's effort while Lou was away has not gone unnoticed, and I can't say 'Thank You' enough!

Also, we could use some assistance to help unload the van at the college after Friday's performance. Please consider helping out if you are not staying for the fireworks.
