June 27 Update

Post date: Jun 27, 2013 3:08:19 PM

We are still looking for help to load/unload the truck for both remaining performances. If you are able to help out, please do!

Another message from Lou!

t's 10:00 a.m. here on Thursday morning, which is 9:00 p.m. Wednesday night where you are. In eight short hours I begin the 18 hour journey home. I am so looking forward to being with all of you and sharing in our new performance adventure. All things appear to be in place, thanks to the efforts of many devoted people.

Then we all get to enjoy our Cranbury sojourn. While the crowd will be smaller, the 1,000+ who attend are a very appreciative audience. That is a great place to bring family and friends, unfold lawn chairs, spread out picnic blankets, listen to the music and watch the children laugh and play...what's the rest of that line...to see a lamb at school. While there will be no lamb, we will have our traditional picnic buffet available from 5:30 on, an hour before we perform in the cool cool shade of the evening.

I know that all of you will make every effort to be at these last performances. We don't blow off show times. We all have too much invested and the dedication that carries us through the year is our own intrinsic payback. Don't forget that we start again the first Monday after labor day. We'll rehearse for the first hour and celebrate our reunion for the second hour. I have some great ideas for advancing our band and keeping us growing and happy!

See you all soon.

Lou
